TRICK OR TREAT

Wednesday before Halloween, we carved pumpkins with Kade and Sara and their girls, Kayla and Sage. We even had a big enough pumpkin to put Sage inside. Each of the kids picked their own pumpkin out a few weeks ago. TayLynn even grew seven of her own, but we did get a few huge ones from a local pumpkin seller. Each of the kids picked their own picture for their carving and then went to work. They all even gutted their own pumpkins. H and Kayla even carved their own. They turned out awesome. When we lined them all up, it seemed like a million pumpkins. I guess that's because we have so many kids. It was one of those nights to remember.

Uncle John came up and spent Halloween night with us. Sara, Kade, and the girls came over too. It was beautiful weather, overcast but warm. We were able to get as much trick-or treating in as we wanted before it started to rain a bit. Tel stayed home and protected our newly poured driveway from trick-or-treaters' feet and played the wii with John. Tiann and Mady went with the Beehives and Deacons trick-or-treating. Tiann was wonder woman and Mady was a pirate. The rest of the kids went with Sara and I. Poor Little Tug had the flu the whole night before and fell asleep right before we went trick-or-treating, so his dad took him later when he woke up. TayLynn was a queen, H was Jack Sparrow, Tug was a cowboy and his horse, Treg was a little devil, Kayla was a bee, and Sage was Pebbles. They all looked so cute. They all got their fill of candy and had a good time.

Pool and Yard

Well our pool is practically done. They are putting in the heater this week and the pool house should be finished soon. My dad has started removing the rocks now and we are closer to finishing our yard. The pool is filled up with the slide done and a little bit left of the diving board. The cover is on and most of the fence we swam in it today and it was freezing! But we had lots of fun!

Back to school

Wow today school started! Tay, H, and Mady are all in elementary school. Everyone except for Treg is now in school!!H can't wait for kindergarten to start and Tug is so excited for preschool. Tel is now in High School and I am in Jr. High it isn't the greatest!

Meet the Family
Devin runs his own excavating business called Rock It.
Stacey enjoys making books about family and movies also about family.
Tel plays the guitar, sings, writes his own songs. and directs the family band including Madalyn, Tiann, and sometimes Tay.
Tiann plays the fiddle and classical violin, sings and plays the piano.
Madalyn plays the mandolin, sings, and plays the piano.
TayLynn thinks she is the princess because she is the middle child. She also plays the piano.
H loves dirt and any machines. He has recently figured out how to run the track hoe.
Tug loves dirt and going to work with his dad.
Treg is the youngest of seven children. He is the busiest one year old you will ever meet!
And our dog Daisy is a Yorkie Terrior.

Last Summer Saturday

Today was our last 2008 summer Saturday. We were doing our yard work and decided to go out back. The first thing we all noticed was H. He was in the track hoe all alone. And our dad was sitting there watching him. H loves dirt and anything to do with our Rock It business. H had learned how to run the track hoe and was filling in a trench he was told to fill in.
